A Very Sad Story
Dear Abby,
I've never written to you before, but I really need your advice. I
have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on
me. The usual signs......... phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up.
My wife has been going out with the girls a lot recently although
when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work,
you don't know them."
I always try to stay awake to look out for her coming home, but I
usually fall asleep. Anyway, I have never approached the subject
with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth,
but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her.
Around midnight, I decided to hide in the garage behind my golf clubs
so I could get a good view of the whole street when she arrived home
from a night out with "the girls".
It was at that moment, crouching behind my clubs, that I noticed that
the graphite shaft on my driver appeared to have a hairline crack
right by the club head.
Is this something I can fix myself or should I take it back to the
pro shop where I bought it?

doc biker,您的學問高啊! 您貼的文章我看了兩次才似懂非懂,說實在的,我還是沒把握,我是不是真的懂了.....哈.
不過我看這個人的老婆才可憐,他在他先生心中的地位,竟比不上它的高爾夫球桿出現小小的細紋.

'吃人的嘴甜',真的沒錯,飛劍兄,這半年來,一下子要請我吃牛肉麵,一下子又有他家李子的coupon, 接著又有蘋果,西洋蔘,以及隨便我選,到目前我雖然都還沒吃到,只能望梅止渴. 但諸位同學大人,您認為,這種偉大的貴人,我可以得罪,可以不好好伺候嗎?!

Ha.. Both of you still didn't dig deeper for the meaning. Well, it looks like a joke at first, but I saw several hidden messages:
1. He finally realizes that he has to give his spouse some breathing room. And, he reacts swiftly by putting trust above his suspicions.
2. He skillfully redirects his attention to something else.
3. He still has the heart of a child.
4. He and 聞人 have the same beloved hobby.
5. It is designed to lure
聞人 out to the open. He is still hidding in the dark.
LOL
What does "落落長" mean? I forgot about it.
I see two more hidden messages on woman's point of view:
1. He cannot accept the fact which soon arrives. Then he tactfully changes the subject.
2. The hairline crack on his golf club head is a metaphor to his marriage.
He carefully maintains his marriage just as he does on his golf driver. Now the marriage seems to have a crack.
He needs an advice from Abby - fix the problem by himself or refer to a specialist?
Very very interesting views. May be the best way is to 睜隻眼閉隻眼 for the short term. And, wait for more evidences to unfold.
