As a result of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the United States and parts of Canada are extending the period of Daylight Saving Time (DST) beginning in 2007.
From this year onward, DST will start on the second Sunday in March -- three weeks earlier than previously -- and end on the first Sunday in November -- a one week extension.
The new dates for the U.S. and parts of Canada in 2007 are:
DST begins at 2:00 a.m. local time on March 11, 2007
DST ends at 2:00 a.m. local time on November 4, 2007
