Happy New Year!

Auld Lang Syne - Lyrics

Don't be left speechless when the bells chime and everyone crosses arms to sing in the New Year. These are the words to Auld Lang Syne.
Meaning: auld lang syne - times gone by

English translation from Robert Burns’ (Scottish) verses:
Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind ?Should old acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne ?
CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
And surely you’ll buy your pint cup!And surely I’ll buy mine! And we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,for auld lang syne.
CHORUS
We two have run about the hills, and picked the daisies fine ;But we’ve wandered many a weary foot, since auld lang syne.
CHORUS
We two have paddled in the stream, from morning sun till dine (dinner time) ;But seas between us broad have roaredsince auld lang syne.
CHORUS
And there’s a hand my trusty friend!And give us a hand o’ thine!And we’ll take a right good-will draught,for auld lang syne.
CHORUS

Cinderella, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I think this is a Irish "Farewell" song for the New Year Eve. Right? The melody/tune is taking from the "Farewell" song that people sing at the New Year Eve at the New York Time Square......

Hi Joe,

You are my hero. You got the melody! It is also the song we sang when we graduated from school.
